A Havana-Inspired Celebration at Convention Hall, Asbury Park
Genevieve and John were married at the iconic Convention Hall in Asbury Park—a legendary venue known for hosting historic musical acts, including Jersey Shore favorite Bruce Springsteen. The day began with preparations at the nearby Asbury Hotel, followed by an emotional first look before the couple headed onto the boardwalk for portraits. Photos were taken in front of the carousel building, recently featured in the biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere, before returning to Convention Hall for their ceremony. The vows took place in the South Overlook, offering sweeping views of the Asbury Park boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.
Following the ceremony, guests transitioned downstairs into the 3,600-seat indoor exhibition hall for a truly unforgettable reception. To transform the expansive space, floor-to-ceiling black draping and dramatic lighting were installed, creating an intimate yet high-impact atmosphere. Palm-forward décor filled the historic 1920s venue with sultry, old-world glamour—giving the space a romantic, Casanova-inspired energy that felt both bold and timeless. As one of the few weddings ever hosted at Convention Hall, the celebration felt especially meaningful, honoring a treasured Jersey Shore landmark while perfectly reflecting Genevieve and John’s vibrant personalities.
