A Fairytale Summer Wedding at Rumson Country Club

Jordan and John’s June wedding unfolded like a modern fairytale, beginning with a traditional ceremony at St. George’s-by-the-River in Rumson, New Jersey, followed by cocktails and a riverside reception at the Rumson Country Club River House. The day began with relaxed preparations alongside their wedding parties before Jordan was whisked away in a vintage Rolls-Royce for a private first look inside the Great Hall at Shadow Lawn at Monmouth University—an iconic landmark famously featured in the original Annie film. From there, the couple made their way to the ceremony, where Jordan’s dramatic twenty-foot train made its moment as she walked down the aisle. The ceremony was elegant, timeless, and unmistakably regal.

Following the vows, guests enjoyed cocktails overlooking the river before transitioning to an intimate dinner on the back deck, designed with dramatic overhead branches and softly draped fabric. Glass tables highlighted the delicate white and blush floral arrangements, while personal details nodded to the groom’s love of aviation—including airplane-shaped place card holders and a custom sculptural topiary complete with a rotating propeller, positioned near the lounge overlooking the dance floor. Inside, a breathtaking floral and greenery installation with hanging chandeliers hovered above the dance floor, setting the scene for a magical evening of celebration.
